It's been a while....

WOW...I can't believe that I haven't touched this in so long! Things have been busy with getting the kids back into the routine of school, sports and a more stuctured daily life! I am also getting back into the swing of things and enjoying some personal time away from the kids. This year I am volunteering with school council and have taken over the hot lunch program. Some days it feels like I live at the school, but overall it's been a great experience so far. I'm also getting back into the scrapbooking swing from my summer hiadus.....it's nice to be so productive again....

Last night we had a chat at my DT site with Melody Ross, the owner of Chatterbox. What an incredible woman....full of insightful thoughts and meaningful conversation! I was honored to be part of the conversation!!! We also held a CBX contest using my sketches, my first time doing sketches for a contest or challenge, and boy was it fun!!!!!! Here's one of my LOs for the contest...

We used the 7 concepts from Melody's blog and provided some sketches for inspiration. The members created some wonderful pieces and I was really impressed with many of the LOs.

In speaking with Melody, we asked her about how CBX was begun.....she described how journalling is such an important piece of the scrapbooking puzzle, and that she initially started out to get people to journal more on their LOs. This got me thinking about my own LOs ..... I always include journalling but the LOs that I am most proud of, are the ones where I have poured my soul onto the page. I want to try to do more of these....the LOs where I express my thoughts and feelings.

Thanks for peeking everyone!

Have a wonderful day!
