I can see the light!

November is CRAZY! Crazy with Christmas preparations and shopping.....I like to be somewhat done by Decmber 1st to avoid the crunch of the season's rush! I still need to make some cards and gifts but the madness is over. I pity those of you who still have to venture out into the stores and deal with crazed shoppers.

What is up with that anyways? Why do people leave it to the last minute and then act like crazed animals ready to run you over with their shopping carts? The stores are a wonderful place to be to see, hear and smell Christmas, but for the most part, people are NUTS!!!!! I've been bumped from behind with carts, stepped on and elbowed and even growled at by the occasional desperate husband who doens't have a clue what to get his wife. Christmas often really brings out the worst in people and you have to wonder where they're holiday spirit has gone?

Don't leave your shopping until the last minute, people!!! Don't be part of the madness!!!! When you feel that familiar sense of panic...that uncontrolled desire to ram your cart into the person in front of you, or that annoyance at the sound of even the smallest of children's laughter........walk away, I say. Step away from the bows, the garland and the lights.....put down the barbie or matching shirt and tie....just walk away. It's time for a reality check.

Christmas

I loooooove this time of year.....the season, seeing friends, shopping, decorating, baking.....everything involved. It's the most wonderful time of the year.....no punn intended! LOL! I can't wait to get the decorations up, but I think some of my neighbors think that November 1st is too early...go figure! I just love the way my home looks with all the lights and garland, and I have a real addiction to Santas , Elves and Father Christmases ....I just can't stop at one! My shopping is 70% complete......and I have to get it done before December 1st 'cause the stores just get too nuts by then! I have a few gifts left to make as well......then all that's left is the wrapping and baking!! I just love this feeling!

Unfortunately during the holiday season (which starts in November for me), lots of other things fall through the cracks....and it IS a relief to get back to 'normal' after the Christmas season's rush. All I can say is that it's a wonderful time of year, when Christmas comes but it's nice to see it go and get back to the regular routine.

Merry Christmas Everyone! Enjoy the Spirit of the Season...it will be over all too soon!
